Frequently Asked Questions
As with any major home building or renovation decision, selecting your staircase can be a daunting process. We understand you’ll have questions about stair design, balusters, handrails and more, so we’ve answered the queries we are most often asked below. Please call us on (03) 9720 7760 to explore your options. We look forward to discussing your staircase requirements.
How much will my staircase cost?
Pricing is dependent on the type of staircase, materials and accessories selected. Simple budget stairs typically start at around the $2,000 mark, whereas a detailed geometric design may cost anywhere up to $40,000.
What are the terms of payment?
A 50% deposit is payable upon acceptance of quote. Manufacturing will not commence until the 50% deposit has been received. This includes ordering of exotic timbers or special accessories, which can have lead times ranging between one to six weeks. The remaining 50% balance is payable prior to installation. Installation will not take place until full payment has been received.
How long will it take for my staircase to be manufactured and installed?
The time between order confirmation until installation varies based on the type of staircase you have selected. A standard timber staircase may be installed within 10-15 working days of the deposit being paid and shop drawings being signed off, whereas a more complex geometric (curved) staircase may take up to eight weeks from receipt of deposit and signed shop drawings, to installation. Installation is generally complete in one day, though it may take up to a week for complex stairs.
Do you deal directly with the public?
